Just a comparison

I thought I'd compare what I've seen here in St Ives in 2 years with what I saw in a similar sized area of Falmouth during the ten years I was seriously birding there.
My total for Falmouth is 181 species but I've limited that total to what I'd seen in a roughly 2-2.5 mile radius of where I lived. The other factor involved was that I did most of my birding in Falmouth in the winter. Spring and Autumn would see me elsewhere, usually the Lizard or somewhere on the North coast.
I have had to revise last years list already as I forgot to add Lapland bunting, bringing my total of new patch birds for last year to 14.

  1. Hi Richard, you mentioned a minus regarding identifying birds on jizz in that you might not recognise it. Well thats a plus! You know immediatly to home in on those ones cos it could be something special...
