Things have quietened down since the new year. The Goosander flock at Bussow fell from 24 to just 4, then 3 a day later then none, although birds still hung around the area with 14 off Porthminster on 29th jan.

The same day 2 drake Tufted duck and a drake Pochard turned the roundhouse pond in to a real "duck" pond.
Black redstarts continued to be seen at a variety of different sites around the town including a male and female together in Trelawney road. Bullfinches to have been seen more regularly this winter.
A female Merlin was at Buttermilk hill along with approx 150 Golden plover on 30 Jan.
